NATIONAL: Doreen Chiang of Birkdale will compete nationally after winning State Champion of level 7 Under 13 in artistic gymnastics.
Doreen Chiang 12 of Birkdale will compete in the Australian gymnastics championships to be held in Melbourne from May 21 to June 4 as the State Champion of level 7 Under 13 in artistic gymnastics.
Now in Year 8, Doreen trains at the premier gymnastics academy at Moreton Bay College, competing on floor, beam, bars and vault.
She holds the title as the regional champion for south east Queensland 2018 (Level 7 Under 13 years old) where she came first on bars, second on vaul and third on beam and floor.
At the recent State championships, she came first on bars, third on floor, fifth on beam and seventh on vault. She placed first in a field of 110 in the State team trial.
