Redlands Community Breakfast has raised $10,000 for The Cage Youth Foundation and Redland Community Centre.
This year’s breakfast was held at the Redland RSL last month.
The Cage founders Peter and Linda Grieves said they were thrilled their organisation was a recipient.
The funds will towards upgrades at the Cage to support programs they have on offer.
President of the Redland Community Centre board Garry While accepted a cheque which will be presented to the centre staff.
The funds will be used to continue their work in the Redlands.
Founder of the breakfast, which has been held for five years, Sheena Hewlett said the generosity of the community made the event a rewarding experience.
“The ongoing support of platinum sponsor JJ Richards and the team from Victoria Point Community Bank Branch of the Bendigo Bank, along with our corporate sponsors, ensures each year seems to be bigger and better,” she said.
“Next year will be our sixth breakfast with the decision on recipients yet to be announced.”
