Country group, The McClymonts will bring its Like We Used To show to the Alexandra Hills on November 2.
The visit is part of a national tour of New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia to showcase songs from its best-selling new album Endless and a host of favourites from its previous four albums.
Sam McClymont said it was not the first time she had played in the Redlands, recalling the Redland Country Music Club as akin to her own in Grafton.
Sam said the tour was a great way to see Australia with her family.
“You don’t get lonely or miss your family when you are all together. We are very lucky that we get to see Australian together. We love hanging out together and we get to see some amazing places,” she said.
Sam said with some of her sisters now having children, it had been at least a year since they had been full time on the road.
Sam said she enjoyed playing regionally, describing the shows as more intimate.
“We get to tell our stories. It’s more like a big party and we can really enjoy ourselves and have a laugh. These smaller regional shows offer a chance for the audience to get to know us more,” she said.
Songs will include Forever Begins Tonight, Here’s To You and I, Wrapped Up Good and Kick It Up, all sung with stunning harmonies and backed by the girls’ band.
Endless has reaffirmed the McClymont’s status as Australia’s pre-eminent country group, debuting at #1 on the ARIA Country Chart and #3 on the ARIA Albums Chart upon release and generating three smash hit singles – House, Don’t Wish It All Away and Like We Used To. The girls also took home three awards at the 2018 Golden Guitar Awards including the coveted Album of the Year, and Group of the Year at the recent CMC Awards.
Alongside this professional success, The McClymonts have also enjoyed some major personal milestones including the birth of Sam’s first baby, Wilder, the impending birth of Mollie’s second child and the release of Brooke’s album with her husband, Adam Eckersley.
“I am really looking forward to this show,” Sam said.
Tickets are $44.90 and are available on themcclymonts.net.au/tours, thealexandrahillshotel.com.au or phone 3824 4444.
