The new exhibition Triple Treat, opens Saturday, June 2 at 5.30pm at the Old Schoolhouse Gallery.
It consists of the work of three artists, expressing their interpretation of a single image, through three different mediums.
Phil Robinson using photography, May Sheppard through contemporary painting and print maker Natasha Scott through lino-cut.
Utilising their mediums these members collaborated and will showcase a cohesive body of work, resulting in an insight into each artist’s interpretation of Redland’s wildlife.
The exhibition is anchored around the photographic images of award winning photographer, Phil Robinson. He has spent years photographing wildlife while travelling but is especially passionate about the wildlife around his Redlands home.
May, Phil’s wife, has interpreted these photographic images using her art and painting skills, producing contemporary paintings.
May brings a lifetime of artistic experience to this exhibition and finds endless inspiration in her husband’s photographs.
Natasha continues to push the boundaries of printmaking through the medium of linocut. She also has extensive knowledge of paper-making and book-binding.
She is keen to share her knowledge with the community, offering workshops at the gallery. Print-making workshops in linocut are planned for May 19, June 17, July 28, August 19 and September 9.
