The theme for this year’s Indigi Day Out was majestic trees and thousands of people celebrated their majesty at IndigiScapes on June 2.
It was a multiple celebration between IndigiScapes and Folk Redlands marking World Environment day, the end of Reconciliation week and the start of the Quandamooka festival.
Mayor Karen Williams said that most importantly it was a day where people could embrace and connect with nature and wildlife.
“We are lucky in the Redlands to have this environment and education centre to help us celebrate it. It is nice to see lots of young children discovering the natural environment rather than connecting to ipads and devices. Instead they are exploring nature with their hands, eyes and ears,” Cr Williams said.
