MULTINATIONAL developers Lendlease has taken over the lead role in the 3000-home Shoreline project at Redland Bay.
They will work with former development partners Fox and Bell and Fiteni Homes, who together own the land.
The project, touted as being valued at $2.3 billion, will spread across both sides of Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, house 10,000 people and include a new town centre, foreshore parklands, new sport facilities and walking and bike trails.
Lendlease Communities managing director Matt Wallace said they would work with local authorities to ensure timely infrastructure met the growing needs of the community now and into the future.
“We’re excited to be partnering with two local land partners in the Redlands and working with Redland City Council and the local community to bring Shoreline to life,” Mr Wallace said.
“We see this as a fantastic opportunity to provide new home buyers in search of a coastal change with a new choice of neighbourhood – one that takes advantage of relaxed bayside living, while respecting the natural beauty of the land.”
Shoreline will be Lendlease’s first project in the Redlands and the first large-scale master planned community in the area for 20 years.
Infrastructure provision and road upgrades were part of the development agreement with council, which was given preliminary approval in November 2015.
Fox and Bell principal Garry Hargrave said the directors of Fox and Bell and Fiteni Homes were excited to be working with Lendlease to deliver Shoreline.
“Lendlease is one of Australia’s largest and best known developers renowned for their quality and innovative projects,” he said.
“An international world class company combining with local development knowledge will deliver a truly exceptional project – the likes of which has not been seen before in the Redlands.”
