Flannerys Organic and Wholefood market at Colburn Avenue, Victoria Point attracted interest not just in its produce recently with customers able to view a hybrid car for a week until June 7.
On view at the store was a Mini Cooper SE Countryman All4 Plug-in hybrid with customers able to drive the Mini for a weekend from Motorline Mini garage with Flannerys accepting entries until June 12. The Mini is currently in the test phase and is one of just two in the country at the moment.
Experts preduct that there will be 230,000 electric vehicles on the road by 2025, and more than one million by 2030.
Queensland is at the forefront of the shift to electric and hybrid cars, recently opening the world’s longest electric vehicle ‘super highway’ in a single State – with charging stations now available from Coolangatta to Cairns.
The partnership between Motorline MINI Garage and Flannerys highlights the store’s support for sustainable environmental practices and doing something for the greater good of the planet.
