PLASTIC: Running Wild visited Russell Island school students and gave ways on going forward without plastics.
Julie ‘Chook’ Larson from Running Wild visited Years 3 and 6 students at Russell Island to celebrate World Environment day on June 5.
This year’s theme of beating plastic pollution was fitting on the eve of the forthcoming plastic bag ban.
The students participated in an educational activity about recycling, re-purposing and new ways of living without plastic.
Ms Larson also spoke about Running Wild projects and in particular its youth conservation engagement project.
