Are you a green thumb or a brown thumb?
Many people talk about the importance of gardening organically and sustainably but where do you start and what does it take to have a beautiful garden of healthy, disease-free plants?
On July 11, ROGI will have as guest speaker Des Warnock, co founder of Plant of Health Fertilisers.
Des has always had an interest in health and researched the fertiliser industry before deciding to start his own business 20 years ago.
He loves to talk about soil nutrition and cannot wait to tell you about five key facets of healthy soil.
He guarantees his fun and easy-to-understand presentations will get you on your way, even if you consider yourself a brown thumb.
“Most organic growers are generally good people who share information and are happy to help,” he said.
“It would be great to see gardeners of all types come along on the night.”
Come along and learn a little about soils and soil nutrition and take home an easy to follow program for achieving a great garden.
ROGI meets on Wednesday, July 11 at 7pm (or 6.15pm for organic shopping) at Salvation Army, corner of McDonald Road and MacArthur Street, Alexandra Hills.
Visitors are welcome, entry is $5 and supper is served afterwards. See rogi.com.au
