AN OBSTACLE course race through the Logan River Parklands will help police positively connect with families and kids.
The 5.5-kilometre run, called EmbRACE, is on Sunday, July 22 from 8am. Registrations are $55 per adult and $22 per child, with all proceeds to be donated to Police-Citizens Youth Clubs’ projects.
The race begins at PCYC Tudor Park and takes joggers and walkers through the Logan River Parklands to the PCYC Beenleigh, where a community festival will be set up.

Fun obstacles, including giant inflatables, will be included on the way, with a 1.5-kilometre junior dash also offered for younger children.
Beenleigh PCYC Senior Constable Damian Harman encouraged people to support PCYC while getting active outdoors in the race.
“Local events such as embRACE create opportunities for people of all ages to come out and show support for their community and to acknowledge the work being done to make things better,” he said.
