“Cats make wonderful pets as they’re affectionate yet independent,” she said.
“They are renowned for their companionship, playful nature and self-sufficiency, making a great addition to any family.”
A Petbarn Cleveland store spokesperson said kittens could be adopted for $230 and adult cats for $150.
The fees are returned to a local charity, which pays for the cats to be vaccinated, desexed, micro-chipped and health checked.
More than 30,000 pets across Australia have been re-homed or saved since 2012 through work by the Petbarn Foundation to support animal rescue organisations, like the RSPCA.
The spokesperson said cats were always available for adoption, urging cat lovers to check-in to the store to find out more.
