Queensland Rail have apologised to nearby residents ahead of the upgrades, through a statement issued earlier this week.
The spokesperson said loud, heavy machinery, including on-track vehicles and trucks with horns, would be used during rail replacement and welding near the Wellington Point train station.

“We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to improve your network,” the spokesperson said.
“Every effort will be made to carry out these works with respect for our valued neighbours.”
The works will be carried out between 9pm on Monday, August 27 to 5am the next day.
The spokesperson said any planned works were weather dependent and subject to change.
