ORMISTON College has won the 2018 Australian Education Award for best use of technology.
The award acknowledges the college’s ongoing commitment to innovation to prepare students for the future.
Headmaster Brett Webster said the recognition was an outstanding achievement.
“(This is) a testament to the capacity and dedication of our whole team as well as the strategic focus of the college and the way we commit to continual improvement for the good of our students,” he said.
The college’s head of junior school Travis Goulter also won the 2018 Department Head of the Year award.
Mr Webster was a finalist for the Principal of the Year award, deputy head of junior school Erin Ware was a finalist in the Department of the Year award and E-learning teacher leader Annette McArthur was a finalist for the Teacher of the Year award.
As well as being recipient of The Educator Innovative Schools Award in 2015, 2016 and 2017, the college is one of only nine fully-fledged Microsoft Worldwide Showcase Schools in Australia.
