HELPING to club crime where it hurts will soon be as easy as teeing up at Redland Bay golf course.
People are needed to sign-up for an ambrose golf tournament on Friday, November 2 to help raise funds for Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers Brisbane Bayside volunteer Janice Dorber said money raised would be used to buy merchandise for handout to the public promoting the 1800 333 000 hotline number.
It would also help top-up the cash rewards kitty, which was dipped into and offered as incentives to the public when police needed vital clues to help solve crimes.
“Last year, we raised more than $2000,” Ms Dorber said.
Teams of four can enter the golf day for $390, with breakfast, lunch, green fees, golf cart usage, business card drawer and multi-draw raffles included.
Corporate sponsors are needed to support the fundraiser, with donated prizes for raffles also sought.
A Crime Stoppers Brisbane Bayside branch spokesperson said fancy dress was optional but prizes would be given out for best Melbourne Cup outfit and best hat.
“Whether you’re serious about golf, or an annual player, we’d love you to come and join us for a day of fun and networking at the lovely Redland Bay Golf Course on the Friday,” the spokesperson said.
Teams of four can buy entry for $390 per team. Registration on the day opens at 6.30am.
