MP MICK de Brenni and Cr Julie Talty will make a splash at the Mount Cotton State School fete on September 15.
The politicians have their towels at the ready after volunteering for the dunk tank stall.
They will be joined by Mount Cotton State School principal Meagan Steward and some teachers.
Ms Steward said the school’s Parents and Citizens’ Association had done an excellent job organising the event which was sure to be a hit with students and the community.
“We pride ourselves on being community minded, creative and caring,” Ms Steward said.
“The school fete allows us to engage with the local community, showcase the school and our philosophy.
“The fete not only allows for us all to have a bit of fun but raises valuable funds for equipment and other items the school needs to be able to continue to deliver excellent outcomes for our students.”
There will be rides, stalls, pony rides and an animal farm, food and entertainment at the fete which is from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, September 15.
Ms Steward said the best way for families to attend the fete was to catch a shuttle bus from and to Valley Way.
The bus will run from 9.30am to 3.30pm for a small fee.
