Russell Island Community Arts hosted the first solo exhibition for Russell Island artist, Kinga Rypinska this month.
The opening night was very enjoyable and well attended by members and friends.
VIP’s included Redlands MP Kim Richards councillor Mark Edwards and Friendly Bay Islander editor, Gerard Thompson.
The exhibition called Shapes of Colour ran the entire weekend finishing on the Sunday with many visitors who were hugely impressed with Kinga’s artistic talent.
We held our quarterly market on the closing day and many enjoyed bargains, sausage sizzle and Devonshire teas.
Our next market is on November 18 and we will host a massive art’s and craft’s sale with lots of home made crafts and artistic creations. Mark the date in your diary as a place to visit for those special Christmas presents.
Our pottery shed is almost completed and we are very excited at the developments of the shed being built.
