A 32-YEAR-OLD man has been remanded in custody after facing a Cleveland magistrate for charges related to alleged break-ins and thefts.
Cleveland police said four Cleveland properties – at Channel Street, Bowsprit Parade and Sherrin and Ostend courts – were targeted overnight on Saturday, September 15.
Cash, jewellery, keys and personal identification were some of the items reported stolen.
Cleveland police said the crimes were “sneak offences”, meaning residents were likely at home at the time.
The man was charged with four counts of entering a premise and committing an indictable offence, three counts of entering a dwelling with intent, one count each of attempted entry into a dwelling to commit an indictable offence, trespass and possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with a drug offence.
His matter will next be heard on October 4.
