ENJOY coffee with cops at Capalaba Park Shopping Centre to keep alert on how to stay safe from crime.
Police will be at cafe Coffee Club on Thursday, October 25 between 9.30am and 11.30am, with Redlands residents invited to meet officers for a chat.
Capalaba Police Beat’s Acting Senior Constable Vrinda McCauley said people could ask any questions or voice concerns to get help.
“It is a great opportunity for members of the public to speak with police in conversation about concerns,” she said.
“(There’s) no agendas or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know your local police officers.”
The Coffee with a Cop program was set up about three years ago by Capalaba Police Beat to build rapport between police and the community.
People can become nervous when dealing with police during stressful times, but the program was helping to change that.
Crime Stoppers and Volunteers in Policing volunteers would also be at the Coffee with a Cop event to share security tips.
