REDLANDS Tigers cricketer Clodagh Ryall will be among the young guns competing at the National Under 18 Women’s Championship.
She will be among the largest ever contingent of Queensland players to feature at the National Under 18 Women's Championship in January.
The titles will feature a 13-player Queensland representative team as well as a further six Maroons, who will play in the Northern Territory squad as part of a player development arrangement between Queensland Cricket and the Northern Territory Cricket Association.
The NT squad features all-rounder Ms Ryall, who is also a Queensland Indigenous Women's representative.
A cricketer of five years, she has played for the Park Ridge Panthers and the Redlands Tigers.
Ms Ryall started training in late October to prepare for the championship, and said she was looking foward to the matches.
“It makes me really proud (to be part of the national team),” she said.
“I’m just going to go out there and have a good time with the girls.
“We’ve known each other a long time, and I’m looking forward to playing with them.”
Ms Ryall said the squad would be working with high-profile cricketers, including Women’s National Cricket League player Jude Coleman.
The national championship will be held in Bendigo and Ballarat from January 14.
