Twenty-two businesses run by children aged six to 18 will sell their products at the markets
“(The showcase) is an event for young entrepreneurs of Redland City to hold a stall and sell their products, designs and ideas to the public in a marketplace environment,” event co-organiser Sarah Eager said.
Products on sale include skincare, slime, jewellery and arts and crafts, all homemade by the young entrepreneurs themselves.
“We are using this event to showcase the amazing talent our city has and will be the stepping stone for our bigger goals in the area for 2019,” Ms Eager said.
The event will be held at King Country cafe in Thornlands, and Ms Eager said this will keep the stallholders busy.
“The café and normal activities will be open on the day, meaning the children will have a high flow of traffic from normal business patrons of King Country, plus family, friends and other customers gained through our advertising,” she said.
The Redland City Young Entrepreneur Showcase, sponsored by Bendigo Bank, will be held on November 24 at King Country cafe in Thornlands from 9am to 1pm.
