AUSTRALIA’S third Taco Bell will open at Cleveland on Saturday, December 8.
The fast food outlets are known for their epic opening day parties, and the first day of business at Cleveland will be no different: One fan can win free Taco Bell for a year.
There is also limited edition merchandise for the first 62 taco-lovers – as a nod to the Californian brand’s 1962 origins – through the door.
Cleveland’s Taco Bell has replaced Sizzler which closed in September.
The first Taco Bell in Australia opened at Annerley in November last year followed by the recent opening of the Robina outlet.
A Taco Bell spokesperson said a fourth restaurant would open at North Lakes later this month.
“...Taco Bell has raised the bar for quick service dining in Australia, with its crave-able menu, customer-curated music playlists, beers and frozen margaritas, and epic fit-outs pulling record numbers,” the spokesperson said.
Sizzler owner and Australian Taco Bell rights holder Collins Foods plans to open another 50 restaurants by 2022.
Collins Foods applied in July to demolish Sizzler and replace it with a new building.
Redland City Bulletin reported on a few cheesy love stories when news of Sizzler’s demise broke. Birkdale couple Tori Van Der Donk and husband Stephen joined the original Sizzler team at the Cleveland restaurant nearly 27 years ago and have now been married for 23 years.
Taco Bell Cleveland will be open from 9am to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 9am to 10pm from Sunday to Thursday.
