LAST Christmas Fairfax Media readers in south-east Queensland shared pictures of what their Christmas elves had been up to.
The Elf of the Shelf tradition has increasingly become a popular one.
The idea is that Christmas elves serve as Santa’s eyes and ears in homes around the world, reporting back to the North Pole to let him know who has been naughty or nice.
The elves magically appear early in December and pop up in different places around the house each day.
In some homes the elves get up to mischief, making a mess and causing chaos, while in others they simply provide delight to children (and perhaps even more to the adults).
