FEDERAL MP Andrew Laming says he will withdraw an offer of funding for a multi-storey car park at Redland Hospital if the state government fails to provide a cost estimate by Friday.
Mr Laming said the funding was conditional on the Labor government providing a cost breakdown and committing to build now rather than after a study.
However Health Minister Steven Miles said there was nothing standing in the way of the Morrison government giving the state funding toward the car park.
If it stacks up, the Commonwealth pays half. If not, the money vanishes.

Mr Miles announced last year that the state would do a $550,000 business case on the parking.
The business case - to include the recommended option for investment and details like the location, size, design and cost - would be submitted to the state for funding.
"While we've been busy doing the hard work to make this happen and investing in a detailed business case, Andrew Laming has been making commitments only to renege," Mr Miles said.
"If Andrew Laming thinks it isn't possible for the federal government to provide funding for the car park, why did he stand up in Parliament and promise to fund half?
"Does he think it is acceptable to make promises in Parliament he knows he can't keep?"
Mr Miles said it was clear that Mr Laming had broken his promise to fund half of the costs of building the car park.
Mr Laming said Mr Miles had until Friday afternoon to submit a one page request with a cost breakdown.
"If it stacks up, the Commonwealth pays half," he said.
"If not, the money vanishes."
Mr Laming said the $38 million cost for the car park build that had been mentioned by Mr Miles was eye-watering.
"We could build the same car park underground for that price," Mr Laming said.
"If Mr Miles could quote a price, why do the study?"
I've written to federal Health Minister Greg Hunt to ask him to deliver on Andrew's promise and I'll wait for his response.
- Queensland Health Minister Steven Miles
Mr Laming said Redland Hospital had been bled of money for years, with resources flowing to larger hospitals and other parts of Brisbane.
"Turning the Titanic around is beyond the current health minister," he said.
Mr Miles said Queensland Health estimated a multi-storey car park at Redland Hospital would cost about $36 million, similar to the cost of a planned car park at Redcliffe Hospital.
"The final project cost will be confirmed once the detailed business case is compete," Mr Miles said.
"I've written to federal Health Minister Greg Hunt to ask him to deliver on Andrew's promise and I'll wait for his response."
The Redcliffe Hospital car park is a 600-bay, four-storey park, while a four-storey, 550 bay car park at Rockhampton Hospital will cost $25 million.
