IT will be a sister act when Birkdale siblings Rachael Doreen Chiang compete at the Australian Gymnastic Championships.
The two teens will travel to Melbourne in May for the national tournament after securing podium finishes at the state championship earlier this month.
Mum Irene Mak said her daughters trained more than 20-hours every week to improve their physical fitness.
Their hard work was paying off, with Rachael, 16, earning bronze for her level nine open floor routine at states and Doreen, 14, winning first place for her beam routine and silver for bars in the level eight under-14s events.
Ms Mak said Rachael placed sixth in bars and sixth overall.
"I am very proud," Ms Mak said.

Rachael said she and Doreen would continue to practice their routines ahead of the national competition.
Rachael said she loved the challenges of gymnastics and doing well in the sport.
Becoming airborne through jumps and twirls was also fun, she said.
"I love flying through the air," she said.
Both girls train with Premier Gymnastics, which is based at Moreton Bay College at Wynnum West.
