REDLANDS cyclists have come away from the Queensland State Criterium Championships in April with six medals.

"Today was a tough race with a very strong field but I rode well and can now can proudly call myself a state champion," he said.
Cycle racing newcomer Sally McLean raced in the Women's Masters 7, settling into the bunch early in the race.
As the race unfolded, McLean chased a group that broke away from the front of the pack before out-sprinting the group as they rounded the final bend to take out the gold medal.
In the Men's Masters 8, Terry Fraser took out second place, while Joe Maartens won bronze in the Men's Masters 7.
Gary Howell and Scott Matheson took out bronze in the Men's Masters 5 and Men's Masters 2 categories respectively.
