MORE homes in the South Brisbane policing district - which includes the Redlands - are being unlawfully entered than in any other south-east Queensland area.
Data released by the Queensland government Statistician's Office shows that 4277 unlawful home entries in the district were reported to the Queensland Police Service last financial year.
North Brisbane policing district racked up south-east Queensland's second largest tally at 2736, followed closely by Logan with 2249 unlawful home entries.
While the denser South Brisbane policing district was south-east Queensland's hot spot for the offence, the statistics showed that Logan homes were more likely to be entered on a per capita basis.
About 635 unlawful home entries were reported for every 100,000 people in the Logan district, compared to 525 per 100,000 in the South Brisbane area.
Car owners in the Logan policing district were also at greater risk of being targeted by vehicle thieves, with almost 400 unlawful use of motor vehicle offences recorded for every 100,000 people.
A total of 1415 unlawful use of motor vehicle offences were reported in the Logan policing district last financial year.
However, the Gold Coast was south-east Queensland's auto theft hot spot, clocking up 2167 unlawful use of vehicle offences, followed by South Brisbane district's tally of 1991.
South-east Queensland's drug capital proved to be the North Brisbane district, with 10231 drug-related offences recorded.
South Brisbane policing district had south-east Queensland's second highest number of drug-related offences, clocking up 8167 and surpassing the Gold Coast's tally of 7650.
However, Logan's per capita rate for drug-related offences was south-east Queensland's worst at 1456 per 100,000, despite recording only 5157 drug-related offences.
The Logan policing district spans 1190 sq km across places including Logan Central, Jimboomba, Browns Plains, Beaudesert, North Tamborine and Rathdowney.
Outback Queensland had the state's worst crime rates in the state per capita, followed by Townsville, Cairns and Brisbane's inner city.
