YOUNG players at the Victoria Point Sharks Junior Australian Football Club learned what it takes to make it to the top tier of Australian football when two Brisbane Lions players visited the club on Tuesday night.
Thomas Berry and Lewis Taylor ran through new drills with the players and offered advice and feedback before before sitting down to sign autographs and take photos.
Sharks junior football operations officer Tyler Hayes said the visit had been invaluable for the young players.
"As a club we are so grateful Tom and Lewy took the time out of their busy schedule to have a kick with the boys and girls of the Sharks," Mr Hayes said.
"These visits give an insight into the tough life of a professional athlete and the kids picked up a few pointers on what it takes to make it to the top."
Taylor, a midfielder, made his debut for the Lions in 2014 after being recruited from the Geelong Falcons.
Berry, 19, joined the team in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft.
He is the younger brother of Lions midfielder Jarrod Berry.
