THREE fire crews rushed to a house engulfed in flames at Redland Bay about 6.40pm on Monday.
No residents were at the house, near Anita Street, at the time of the fire.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the low-set house was well involved when firefighters arrived.
The blaze was brought under control about 7pm.
Fire crews left the property in the hands of police about 9pm.
A QPS spokeswoman said police were still on the scene on Tuesday morning.
The QFES spokeswoman said there was also smoke in the Redland Bay area from a permitted burn on North Street.
