CLEVELAND line rail services will not operate between Cleveland and Park Road stations on the weekend.
Services will be replaced by buses, while Queensland Rail does maintenance work.
A QR spokesperson said the services would not operate from about 11.30pm on Friday, June 14 until the last service on Sunday, June 16.
"Normal rail services will resume from the first train on Monday, June 17," the spokesperson said.
"Scheduled rail replacement bus services, routes R295 and R296, will be servicing stations between Park Road and Cleveland."
Translink acting head Peter Milward said customers should plan their journey well in advance and allow up to an hour more than their usual travel time.
He advised using Translink's journey planner.
"Similar to our other closures, TransLink also advises passengers who need assistance to catch a bus, to let QR supervisors or Translink's call centre staff know on 13 12 30 anytime," Mr Milward said.
Passenger information would be installed at stations and bus stops while maps and timetables had been produced to keep customers informed.
