DON Williams is proof that age is just a number - especially in front of the dart board.
Having just turned 90, Mr Williams still throws a mean dart and more often than not wins his singles games.
Redlands Darts Association president Dewain Clarke said darts associations often make mention that the sport is for all ages but rarely back it up with proof.
"Don has been playing darts for more than half his age and has been a valued representative player up until his late 70s," Mr Clarke said.
"Don is an active team member of the Wednesday night competition playing for the Red Barons who currently sit second in their division.
"He also participates in the over 50's social competition on Friday mornings."
Mr Clarke said that anyone who wanted to play darts could join in.
"Darts is still one of the cheapest sports to play with equipment costs at very reasonable prices and available for purchase at Redlands Darts Club.
The Redlands Darts Association hosts social games on most Friday nights at the Redlands Multi Sports Club at Birkdale.
