RESCUE: The Queensland Water Police coordinated the rescue of a missing kayaker this morning.
A 15-year-old male who went missing while kayaking to school south of Redland Bay this morning has been found safe on the Logan River.
A police helicopter found the child in the Logan River about 5.5 kilometres away from his last known location.
The Redland Bay Coast Guard and water police brought the child ashore at 10.15am, about an hour after he went missing.
A Redland Bay Coast Guard spokesperson said the child was not taken to hospital.
Police did not know which school he was trying to reach.
