AS THE annual Newcastle 500 creeps closer, three supercars drivers decided to get into character ahead of the November event.
David Reynolds, Simona De Silvestro and Chaz Mostert spent hours in the hair and makeup chair to dress up as their favourite KISS band members.
The publicity stunt to promote the Newcastle race, and this year's headline act for the Saturday night performance, was filmed for a television commercial to be released both domestically and internationally.
The Coates Hire Newcastle 500 is the season finale of the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship and will run from November 22 to 24.
The performance by KISS is on Saturday November 23 at No 1 Sportsground as part of KISS' End of the Road world tour.
