REDLAND City Council will conduct multiple planned burns in the Point Lookout area on North Stradbroke Island starting today and finishing on Friday.

A planned burn is also scheduled for the Carbrook Wetland Conservation Park area today.
The burns are being undertaken for the purposes of hazard reduction and conservation management.
Smoke from the Carbrook burn may be visible in Redland Bay, Eagleby, Loganholme, Stapylton and Alberton.
Motorists should drive with caution around both areas, with smoke hazards a possibility on the roads.
Redland City Council have advised residents to close windows and doors and keep medications close by if suffering a respiratory condition.
Work at Point Lookout is expected to start each day at 9am, weather permitting.
