LOCAL multicultural group WeR1 has celebrated its 14th anniversary with a special meeting and lunch at the Grand View Hotel.
The informal group started in 2005 and now meets on the first and third Friday of each month.
The group's motto is Bringing people and peoples together.
Organiser Bernie Williams said the group welcomed anyone from overseas or Australia who was interested in different cultures.
The group meets at local cafes on the first Friday of the month and at the Redland Museum on the third Friday from 10am to midday.
Some meetings at the museum include a presentation or activity.
The group has also been involved in the Redland Museum's Heritage and Harmony Festival.
The Redland Museum is on Smith Street, Cleveland.
