THE Redlands branch of the Country Women's Association has celebrated its 95th anniversary with more than 90 attendees.

The branch, previously the Cleveland CWA, grew from a local Help Circle that comprised of two army huts on land where the Kyling Corner businesses are located on the corner of Middle and Waterloo streets.
The group later sold that land to build the current hall, which opened in 1982.
The members donate to many community organisations like the Redlands District Committee on the Ageing, Meals on Wheels, Blue Care and Anglicare.
Attendees at the celebration included Greater Brisbane CWA division president Sue Baillie, division secretary Lyn Giles, volunteer in policing Ken Dickson, MP Mark Robinson, Cr Wendy Boglary and representatives from organisations like RDCOTA, the Donald Simpson Centre, the Cancer Council and National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Here's to Life provided entertainment.
Anyone interested in finding out more about the CWA can attend a free open day at the hall on Saturday, August 31 from 10.30am to midday. A Devonshire tea will be provided.
The CWA Hall is at 3 Waterloo Street, Cleveland. Parking is available at the rear.
