RedFest 2019 will celebrate community with community when it opens at the Cleveland showgrounds from September 6 to 8.
The program was launched at the Alexandra Hills Hotel on August 22 with Mayor Karen Williams saying that the festival had a strong connection to the community and showcased the best of the Redlands coast.
"There will be Quandamooka living culture through dance, storytelling and art, special interest displays such as orchids and woodwork, musicians nd community organisations. There will be farm animals, sideshow alley, showbags and kids activities, This event is as much about community as it is about the festivities," she said.
"This is a legacy to the future of our people. Diversity is our strength and this is our chance to celebrate the land and our identity."

This year's festival features pop-rock act GANGgajang, Mental as Anything and Peter Cupples alongside more than 60 artists. There will be cooking demonstrations featuring celebrity chef Alastair McLeod along with local chefs, food producers, farmers, winemakers, craft brewers and local businesses showcasing the regions strong food culture.
RedFest president Luke Kinman said home-grown and handmade agricultural displays and competitions were back by popular demand with home cooks, bakers, gardeners and craft makers creating stunning masterpieces utilising products and produce sourced from across Redlands Coast.
"I like that this reflects the early days of the festival and it is still popular," Mr Kinman said.
The strawberry eating competition features six heats across the weekend with the grand final to be held on the main stage on Sunday. Ms Williams was among those who got a taste for the competition with a mock heat held at the launch.
Popular with families is the fireworks to be staged on Friday and Saturday nights.
Entry is $15 and $20 for adult with children $10 and $5. Gates are open 5pm to 9pm on September 6, 9am to 9pm on September 7 and 9am to 4pm on September 8. More on redfest.com.au
