The Macleay Island Bowls Club - 'Club Macleay' has a long time been the premier club on the bay islands for entertainment and chairman Barry Reid said it offers the best dining as well.
"We've had some big artists such as James Blundell, The Hillbilly Goats, 8 Ball Aitken (USA artist) plus many others," he said.
Tribute shows such as The Blues Brothers, ABBA and The Neil Diamond Superhits Show booked by the club are top class and draw a huge crowd. These are always free of charge.
"We want our members and guests to have the best entertainment experience we can offer. We also encourage local talent, to which there is a lot of," Barry said.
Club Macleay offers top class dining at Pam and Phil's Water's Edge Bistro and the menu is affordable and mouth watering, suited to all types of palates.

Barry would really love to see more and more people from the mainland visit and experience the beautiful club and it is only a short boat ride away with a free courtesy bus service six days a week.

Club Macleay is a a not-for-profit organisation established 35 years ago.
Late last year a synthetic green was installed and the club is now seeing the benefits both economically and ecologically.

"We're saving significantly in water usage alone. The synthetic bowling green project was a huge success for our club and members," Barry said.
The club has a staff of 12 along with more an 10 volunteers all dedicated to management, licensees, bar and gaming attending, bus driving, green keeping and maintenance.
Other services include keno, pokies, bingo, trivia and weekly poker and the club participates in community activities and fund raising.
