THE Redland Business and Retail Awards warmly welcome the 2019 nominees, along with their friends, family and loyal customers to join in celebrating at the annual gala night on November 23.
Partnering with the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) during 2019 for the United Nations Year of Indigenous Language, the theme of the awards has been officially revealed as 'Community - Connection - Collaboration'.
Come along to the annual awards night at Sheldon Event Centre where there will be a wonderful blend of cultural entertainment commencing in the forecourt and continuing through the night.
Recognising excellence in business, retail and customer service in the Redlands Coast region and also to support one of the Chamber of Commerce's aims of 'Buy Local, Employ Local'.
Voting was very strong this year with more than 12,600 public votes for retailers and customer service people. In addition, 60 nominations were received for the business section of the awards.
The Gala Dinner last year attracted more than 720 local business people, their friends, family and co- workers, celebrating their achievements as the winners of each category were announced.
Returning in the Banks or Mortgage Broker Category is last year's winner, BOQ Birkdale. If they win again. they will be inducted to the Gallery of Honour, after winning this category five times.
The hotly contested Customer Service Excellence Award features eight of the best, who received more than 100 votes each from customers.
The night commences with pre-dinner drinks in the courtyard from 6pm. The formalities begin when everyone is seated at 7pm with the finalists in each category announced before the winner is revealed.
Once all winners have been announced, it's time to kick off your shoes with a live band and dancing continuing to midnight. With a strong list of finalists, the numbers for the night have been capped at 800. Tickets are now on sale for $110 each or $1000 for a table of 10.
