Redland Bay Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating an alleged burglary after tools were stolen from a Tenanne Street address between September 13 and 18.
Theft
Police are investigating the alleged theft of a skate board from outside a business premises located on High Street, Russell Island that occurred on September 10.
Trespassing
A 35-year-old Russell Island man will appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on the October 17 for a trespassing offence that occurred at a business on High Street on September 18.
Public nuisance
A 36-year-old Russell Island man will appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on October 17, for a public nuisance offence that occurred on High Street, Russell Island on September 7.
A 48-year-old Russell Island man was issued with an infringement notice for a public nuisance incident that occurred on Amanda Street, Russell Island on September 17.
Domestic violence
Police investigated eight alleged domestic violence incidents over the course of the month.
Traffic offences
A 39-year-old Russell Island man will appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on October 1 for a drink driving incident that occurred on High Street on September 14.
Police also issued several infringements for uninsured and unregistered vehicles over the course of the month.
Police reminded community members that the areas at the ferry carpark zoned for emergency vehicles are for emergency service only. Infringement notices would be issued for any non-emergency vehicle stopped in these zones.
Residents were also urged to keep their vehicles secure to prevent theft by:
- Locking doors.
- Ensuring windows are up.
- Not leaving valuables visible or in the car.
- Not parking vehicles in vulnerable positions.
- Using anti-theft devices such as steering locks, alarms, engine immobilisers, anti-fuel theft devices and anti-theft number plate screws.
- Not leaving keys under the seat, under wheel arches or in the ignition.
