BIRKDALE State School will raise money for classroom resources at a Halloween themed fete on Saturday, October 26.
Fete coordinator Jemma Colcord said the school's parents and citizens committee were promising a spectacularly spooky afternoon filled with fun and laughter.
"It is going to be bigger than Ben-Hur," she said. "There will be a stack of rides and a sideshow alley in there with stalls that will be of interest to the broader community."
Sideshow alley attractions include chuck a chicken, lucky dip, a football and netball pass off, haunted house and food stalls selling everything from hot chips to fairy floss.
The famous ranger pendulum will headline a rides line-up that includes the super sizzler, Tiki Island jumping castle and screamer slide.
Awards will be handed out for the best dressed ghoul or ghost and to the winner of the fete's Lego building competition.
Money raised during the fete will be put towards school resources.
"The school would like us to invest in robotics and that kind of thing," Ms Colcord said.
"Robots and coding are really popular with kids."
The fete will run from 10am to 3pm.
Birkdale State School is located at Agnes Street, Birkdale.
