It was a full house on Saturday for the long-awaited opening of the rebuilt Cleveland Scout Hall by Governor and Chief Scout for Queensland Paul de Jersey.
Locals joined members of the scouting, business, government and community organisations to celebrate the mammoth task of rebuilding a larger facility that will house the Cleveland Scouts and other community organisations.
The original hall and much equipment was lost in March last year, when it was burnt down in an arson attack.
Several groups were impacted by the fire and memorabilia was lost, marking the Baden Powell Guild's 35-year history.
It also impacted on the Redlands Bonsai Society. Rotary's shed also adjoined the Scout hall.
