Tickets went on sale on October 23 and were sold out within days, prompting the second show at Sirromet. Tickets are on sale now from Ticketmaster.
With tickets sold out at other day on the green venues, it reinforces the popularity of a day on the green as one of Australia's favourite outdoor concert events and the need to purchase tickets early.
Roundhouse Entertainment promoter Michael Newton said the demand for tickets was "incredible, but expected".
"We're thrilled to welcome back to a day on the green one of the most iconic Australian rock bands of all time. These Chisel shows are going to be legendary," he said.
The event will feature Cold Chisel's first new album in four years, Blood Moon, being released before Christmas and featuring the aptly titled new single, Getting The Band Back Together.
He said the band's classic songs like Khe Sanh, Flame Trees, Bow River, My Baby, Cheap Wine, Saturday Night and You Got Nothing I Want had become the soundtrack to many people's lives, and the Blood Moon Tour 2020 was set to be one of summer's hottest tours.
Cold Chisel has sold almost seven million albums across vinyl, cassette, CD, downloads and streaming and has been inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame and received the Ted Albert Award for outstanding services to Australian music. The band's body of work has defied the odds and ignored the trends. The band is known for its uncompromising attitude which articulates its fan's hopes, fears, alienation and humour.
Front man Jimmy Barnes said the band had only done four tours since the early 1980s.
We knew that if we were going to get the band back together for another full tour it would have to be something really special. We wanted great line-ups and unusual places so that people would remember these gigs for a long, long time," he said.
Special guests are Birds of Tokyo and Magic Dirt.
The venue allows picnic rugs, camping chairs and soft eskies and cooler bags. Foodbank will be supported in various ways throughout the Blood Moon Tour 2020 including special auction items and collections at each venue on the tour.
Tickets are from $119.90 for general admission to $199.90 for premium standing. Tickets are on sale through ticketmaster.com.au, 136 100.
