For the past 15 years Lady Fatima Personal Care Services has been making a difference in the lives of many Redlanders.
It started when owner Elena Field of Alexandra Hills chose to follow her passion for continued daily care after working for community based nursing as a home care worker for more than a decade.
"I enjoyed working in the community," Elena said. "I worked on my own for the first few years. At the beginning I wasn't sure if I'd make it or not."
She did, and while running her business, Elena also works as an assistant in nursing at a Redlands based nursing care facility.
Having a long history working within the community based nursing sector has given us the opportunity to focus on what our clients need/require

"After working there for 17 years I will retire from them at the end of this month and primarily focus on running my business," she said.
Lady Fatima specialises in home support services for heath and wellbeing including respite care, disability support, hygiene assistance, daily companion care and even house cleaning.
Elena runs a team of three temporary based workers but plans to bring more people on board as work loads increase.
More recently they have started working with NDIS based clients, catering to their requirements.
"Having a long history working within the community based nursing sector has given us the opportunity to focus on what our clients need/require.
"The individual support we offer and the one-on-one time we spend allows us to get to know our clients better."
Elena's team address the individualised care that is required for each client, taking the time to get to know them and their needs as well as the respect they deserve.
They take into consideration religious and cultural beliefs.
Elena enjoys meeting new people on a daily basis, building rapport and helping those who require assistance to have the ability to stay within their own homes longer.
The team takes delight in being able to support those with disabilities to help maintain a balanced life with social and community participation in their chosen interests, tailoring care needs to help those with disabilities and ailments.
