DEMAND from bargain hunters means Vinnies needs volunteers for its Redlands outlets.
The charity has outlets at Capalaba, Cleveland and Victoria Point and volunteers are needed to give just a few hours or days per week.
Volunteers are needed for different job within the shops and no experience is needed as Vinnies provides on the job training and support.
Jobs include helping customers, sorting donations, pricing and display of items.
Vinnies Queensland Redlands Centre coordinator Jenny Barnett said Vinnies was flexible in terms of days and times volunteers could work.
"We are seeing an increase in customers, which means we need to find some more volunteers so we can meet the demand and keep the shops open for as long as possible each day," she said.
"We offer a fun and friendly team environment where you can be yourself while helping the Redlands community, if you're considering a way to give back, please consider volunteering at Vinnies."
Ms Barnett said Vinnies shops ran with the dedication of volunteers.
"Our volunteers are the backbone of our shops, we get to do vital work in the community with their support as the profits from our shops go back into helping people in need," she said.
"We're always on the lookout for people who want to volunteer and gain new skills, meet new people and give back in a real and tangible way."
A police check which is paid for by Vinnies Queensland is required for all volunteers who work at Vinnies and people interested in volunteering can call Jenny on go to qld.vinnies.org.au/join-us
Vinnies has helped more than 2854 Redlands residents so far in 2019, including 1269 children under the age of 16.
