A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the incident occurred shortly after midday at a private residence in Wellington Point.
The spokesman could not confirm the age or gender of the person or the species of snake that bit them.
It comes as footage emerges of a brave snake catcher removing two eastern browns locked in an intimate embrace from a South Maclean property.
A Redlands snake catcher also warned that snakes would be on the move during the spring and summer months as they look for a mate.
