CLOUDS above Beaudesert are unlikely to produce any real rain today but the Bureau of Meteorology says there will be a 60 per cent chance of showers for Beaudesert, Logan and the Redlands by the weekend.
BOM meteorologist Jess Gardner said the clouds should clear tomorrow but the chances of showers would increase on Friday.
"There's a medium chance of showers on Friday and Saturday but there is unlikely to be much in it," she said.
"We are looking at 0 to 3 millimetres of rain only, but there will be a better chance into next week.
"Another upper over south-west Queensland, as it moves over south-east Queensland, should bring a better chance of showers or thunderstorms about mid-week."
Meanwhile in the 24 hours prior to 9am today some drought stricken areas south and east of Longreach received up to 50mm of rainfall including Quilpie, 32mm, Sunbury, 47mm, Charleville, 13mm, Upper Warrego, 25mm, Mt Harden, 40mm and Upper Claude River, 50mm.
