Paramedics, including the critical care team, were called to Colburn Avenue just after 6pm.
A man in his 60s was treated at the scene for a head injury.
The man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition. He was transported under emergency lights and sirens and with a critical care escort.
