Redlands shoppers can bring a little Christmas spirit to vulnerable families and children who have escaped domestic violence this holiday season.

Generous people can donate gifts at Shingle Inn as part of Queensland-based charity RizeUp Australia's Annual Gift Appeal.
In partnering with Shingle Inn, RizeUp is aiming to provide gifts to more than 4000 vulnerable children across Queensland, adding to the total of 1500 children the organisation has supported this year.
As well as the children, RizeUp distribute gifts to the mums or dads who have primary care of the children and last year distributed 10,000 gifts. This year that number is set to be exceeded based on the demand shown so far.

With one in four children across Australia residing in a home where domestic violence takes place, the RizeUp Annual Gift Appeal gives the public an opportunity to make a small donation which makes a significant difference to the lives of some of our most vulnerable during the festive season.
Gifts will be accepted until December 10 to ensure the items are delivered to families in time.
You can donate at Capalaba Park's Shingle Inn, on Redland Bay Rd.
