Redlanders will dig deep for bushfire relief on January 25, with a cruise to raise funds for the victims of the devastating blazes.
Tickets to the two-hour cruise will be $100 per head. Drinks will be available on board.
The cruise will depart Toondah Harbour, Cleveland, at 5.30pm.
Redland City mayor Karen Williams urged residents to buy tickets.
"Redlanders are known for their generosity and this is a chance to dig deep and bring some relief to those impacted by the fires while at the same time enjoying a sunset cruise on the bay," Cr Williams said.
"Please don't delay in grabbing the limited tickets available," Bowman MP Andrew Laming said.
Cr Williams said the cruise was supported by SeaLink, who had seen first-hand the devastation of the fires on Kangaroo Island.
"The devastation of these fires have already claimed a number of lives including two on Kangaroo Island where SeaLink operates a number of vessels and so they will be providing a barge for the cruise," Cr Williams said.
Cr Williams said she was also working with other businesses and local members on a number of other events to help raise funds.
"There are a number of events and raffles being planned thanks to local businesses and elected members and we will announce details as they are finalised.
"The Redland Foundation will set up a dedicated bank account so anyone can donate to the cause."
"I would like to thank the Redlands Sporting Club and Andrew Laming's office for agreeing to manage the ticketing of this event."
"While the support received to date has been nothing short of remarkable it doesn't really surprise me given the amazing community spirit that exists in the Redlands, which is why I am so proud to be Mayor of this remarkable community."
