POLICE have reported the crash that killed a 36-year-old Redland Bay woman occurred after a sedan struck the rear of a utility, before veering into the path of a minivan the woman was driving.
They had previously alleged the utility struck the sedan.
The community continues to mourn the loss of the woman, reportedly a mother of three.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
EARLIER
A woman died in a three-vehicle crash at Redland Bay on Friday night.
A police spokesperson said that about 11pm a utility travelling south on Serpentine Creek Road hit the rear of a sedan travelling in the same direction.
The utility then veered into the path of an oncoming minivan.
The sole occupant of the minivan, a 36-year-old woman from Redland Bay, died at the scene.
The occupants of the other vehicles sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
Police are appealing for anyone travelling in the area at the time with dashcam footage to come forward.
